Very rare, beautifully framed,’DeMontfort Fine Art’ limited edition print, depicting a Japanese Geisha woman, kneeling on the grass and a blossoming tree, applying make-up to her lips. This vibrant and uplifting work is entitled’Geisha with White Flowers 2′, and is by the renowned, highly collectable Argentine artist Fabian Perez b. Fabian Perez was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He had a difficult childhood, with a father who was a gambler who owned illegal bordellos and nightclubs and was often in trouble with the police. His mother encouraged his artistic talent, and he took art classes as a young adult, but it was never formal training. It is imagery from this past that he draws from, his father being the cool guy outside the nightclubs in his images, and the women are those he saw at his father’s brothels and nightclubs. Tragically he lost his mother when he was 16, and his father when he was 19, afterwhich he lived as a nomad, and immersed himself in martial arts to help cope with his sadness and despair. He met a Japanese Karate master while teaching martial arts, whom he followed to Northern Italy, where he began his career as an artist as a form of escapism.
