Original etching from 2000. Numbered CXVI from an edition of CC signed, and dated in pencil. COA attached verso – framed in Florida. One of a framed pair of etchings – see other listed. The work is on amazing handmade paper and has the etching pressed into the paper and surrounded by 2 kimono material oblongs collaged. Apart from the numbering and signing it has a red artist stamp in the tradition of Oriental Art. Overall it is in light frame as the glazing is perspex. Some minor grazes to this but the overall work is in excellent condition. Measures overall 980mm 790mm. Mikulas Kravjansky was born in Czechoslovakia in 1928. He studied at the Prague Academy of Muse Arts, focusing on art and scenography. As an internationally recognized artist, Kravjansky was the chairman of the art department of Czechoslovakia’s State Television and he created numerous designs for operas, ballets, and theatrical productions while he was there. He moved from his country to California, Florida, and then Canada, where he remains today, publishing via his own production company, creating limited edition graphic works. Today he lives on the shores of Georgian Bay where he paints and writes his own poetry and cookbooks.
